Our Akkawi Baladi cheese has a soft, creamy texture and a rich milk taste. It is very popular for bakeries because it makes cheese pies, sambousek, and borek taste amazing. It gives a wonderful traditional flavor to any baked good.

  • Does it need washing or preparation before eating? It depends on the package you choose:

    • In Brine Pack (Water & Salt): Yes. Soak it in cold water for 5 minutes before eating.

    • Dry Vacuum Pack: No. It is ready to eat right away.

  • How to store? * In Brine Pack: Keep it in the fridge for up to 3 months.

    • Dry Vacuum Pack: Keep it in the fridge for up to 2 months unopened. Once opened, eat it within 3 days.

    • Important Notice: This cheese should never be put in the freezer.
